THN and D-EDGE decided to align forces to ensure hotels have the tools to grow their online presence, which translates into an increase in website conversion, direct bookings and revenue.
Placed on the booking engine,THN's Price Comparison allows website visitors to compare rates between your hotel's website and prices across OTAs or other sites. This tool lets visitors compare prices without abandoning the website, reassuring them that you are offering the best available rate and nudging them to book directly with you.
Whenever your rates are undercut by OTAs or metasearch engines, Price Match allows you to fight this scenario. Presenting users with a real-time offer, this feature automatically shows a lower rate to encourage users to stay on the website and complete their reservation.
To measure the impact Price Comparison widget has on hotel websites, THN and D-EDGE conducted an A/B test on a joint client - a 5-star hotel property in Japan.
The traffic landing on the hotel's booking engine was divided into Group A and Test Control Group. Group A was shown messages on THN's Price Comparison to reassure visitors about the best available rate, while Test Control Group was not.
